Nutters mental health initiatives raise over $67,000 since May 2022

By Paul Mann

In August 2022, Nutters Everyday Naturals introduced the first annual Mental Health Golf Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, home of Nutters flagship store.

The event was a resounding success and the company decided to not only repeat it in 2023 but also add an in-store fundraising component, with a “rounding up” campaign, during the first week of Mental Health Awareness Month in May.

The campaign implemented at the checkouts in the 12 corporate-owned Nutters stores in Western Canada clearly resonated with customers. So much so that the company extended the campaign for the entire month of May in 2023, as well as expanding it to Nutters franchise locations.

After only a little more than one year, Nutters Everyday Naturals has raised over $67,000 for respective Canadian Mental Health Association offices in areas where Nutters stores are located, helping support focused local distribution of funds generated by each store.

Recently retired Nutters president Donald Cranston plans to continue making the Nutters Mental Health fundraising initiatives his primary retirement project, in addition to remaining a director of the company.

Current Nutters president Brad Winsor says he fully supports this important endeavour on behalf of all Nutters team members, encouraging its ongoing growth and development contributing to financial support for mental health in all Nutters communities.
