Display contest winners are headed to the Factors Farm

Lifestyle Naturals, Vernon, BC, and The Stone Store, Guelph, Ontario, are the grand prize winners in the Factors Farm Whole Earth And Sea (WES) display contest. Both stores have won a trip to the Natural Factors Farm in the Okanagan Valley, BC.

The contest, which was open to Health First Network (HFN) member stores, ran in conjunction with Earth Day. It generated record participation this year, says Joanne Aldridge, national key account manager for Natural Factors. “The messaging for the display contest this year was: what can I do, I am only one person, said eight billion people. The idea being that the display will empower consumers to make a difference. There were so many stunning and wonderfully thoughtful displays. It was just so hard to choose winners. I’m happy to say that our Earth Day–WES in-store celebrations are finding a nice rhythm with HFN retailers.”

Joanne feels it is important for retailers to share the Earth Day message and utilize the power of merchandising. “It helps keep your store looking fresh. The experience at a specialty store is everything, and these kinds of display contests are part of the consumer’s experience when visiting their natural health retailer.”

The display contest winners took the display concept to another level, “including consumer participation and a great deal of creativity.”

The winners were announced at the HFN annual general meeting held in Toronto, Ontario, on June 1, 2024.

Seven other HFN store were recognized for their WES display efforts and were awarded a $400 VISA card:

  • Panier Sante, Drummondville, Quebec

  • Sardis Health Foods, Chilliwack, BC

  • Hedley’s Health Hut, Brandon, Manitoba

  • Inside U, Woodstock, Ontario

  • Quarter Master Natural Foods, London, Ontario

  • Ave Maria Health, Prince George, BC

  • Vitamin King, Penticton, BC
